Miss Eliza

Eliza Crook

Miss Eliza is from Colchester, CT.  She is currently a senior at Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts in the Dance Department.
Eliza started dancing at Doreen's at 18 months and was invited the competition team at age 6.  She has trained in tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, contemporary and modern with the DDC and GHAA staff as well as members of IMMIX, Moxy, Judy Dworin Dance Project and renowned Choreographers from across the country.   Eliza is a senior member of Figment Youth Dance Ensemble - a CT based dance company for students, by students.  This past competition season, Eliza won a Young Choreographers award for her self choreographed solo, "Strangers."  She is honored to have been chosen by "Zombies" choreographer, Jennifer Weber, to participate in a short film  - "Ghost Light"  -which will premier this Fall.
After graduation, Eliza plans to attend college to major in Dance Pedagogy hoping to teach at an arts school like GHAA after graduation.
Eliza is excited to join the DDC staff and looks forward to teaching and dancing in the 2021-2022 season.
